Extracurriculars

As a student who partakes in extracurricular activities at Chaminade College School, I have learned an endless amount of moral values such as perseverance, determination, and the value of hard work. Through balancing schoolwork, everyday practice after school, robotics meetings, and my personal life, being a part of these teams really has changed my life to teach me time management and leadership abilities that I will use in my lifetime. Below are the school teams that I had the pleasure of being a part of.
Chaminade gryphons football

In my senior years at Chaminade College School, I had the pleasure of playing both linebacker and defensive end on the Chaminade Gryphons football team. Being a newcomer onto the team in grade 11, I had to learn quick under the expertise of Coach Grossi and Coach Franco to understand the game of football and play to a competitive level with my teammates. Our team would see two consecutive trips to the Metro Bowl at OFSAA and a Metro Bowl Championship in my final game. This team has given me the perseverance and determination needed for me to succeed and overcome any challenges I will face down the road.

Track and Field

As I just came off of a successful season with the Chaminade Gryphons Football team, I found a new passion for throwing events on the Chaminade Gryphons Track and Field Team. I was brought onto this team without an idea on how to even pickup a discus but through the expertise and coaching of Coach Mikolajczyk and Coach Grossi, I was able to learn and perform at a rate of progression that was above and beyond what I expected could even be possible for me. This team taught me how to work hard, the outcomes of dedication and relentlessness, and how habit transforms into real results.
Robotics

Since grade 9, I have been of Team 2634, Chaminade College School's robotics team. Through this team I have learned so much knowledge about the code behind the programming of a robot, in java, the mechanical build of the robot itself and the electrical work that goes into the robot that makes it fully function in competition and in the build season. This team has taught me values that remind me that no matter how many times you get knocked down or how hard a problem may seem, there is always a solution but you must always put in the work to find it.
